Wetpixel and Alex Mustard joined forces to run an “Autumn Special Critter Photography Workshop” at Lembeh Resort and which I was lucky enough to attend. Autumn is traditionally the hottest time of year in the Strait, “it is usually dry weather and peak season for many critters,” said Alex and indeed there were certainly plenty to see and photograph. It felt like paradise for any underwater photographer. Alex was ably assisted by Adam Hanlon of Wetpixel and the workshop was highly informative, inspirational and great fun.

Lembeh Resort itself is tucked away in a private cove above the waters of Lembeh Strait. Situated in a central part of Lembeh Island, it is surrounded by tropical gardens and provided us with a luxurious pampered time whenever we surfaced.
