In June 2014 I enjoyed a ten-day Indonesian liveboard trip with Ron Hunter and his Quest Tours group aboard MSY Seahorse. Our first destination was Biak Island, the largest of the Schouten Islands off the northern coast of West Papua. After a quiet check out dive at Harbour Reef, we had an excellent night dive at Biak Pier with Bobtail Squid and Harlequin shrimps as photographic highlights. The next day we dived the wreck of a PBY Catalina seaplane near the Padaido Islands, a lovely cluster of 36 reefs and islands located on the south-east side of Biak Island and this was followed by a dive along a steep drop-off at Owi Walls and Salmon Point.
