In July 2010, I once again spent two nights at the Super 8
Motel in
Palm Beach, Florida
before joining MV Shear Water for a Bahamas liveaboard trip, this time with Wetpixel. Together
with Alex Mustard I enjoyed two dives under Blue Heron Bridge otherwise known
as the
Jerry Thomas
Memorial Bridge,
fellow Wetpixel member Tim Priest joining us for the second of these dives. As
previously Force-E provided tanks and weights and the fish life was as
fascinating as ever with hairy frogfish, flying gurnards to name just a couple
of highlights.
Alex had brought with him an impressive new Light and Motion
Sola 600 focus and video light to review and lent this to me so that he could
photograph it on my housing. I was very reluctant to give it back to him
afterwards!
At 29/30 degrees, the sea was uncomfortably warm for us in our
3mm wetsuits so we purchased lycra suits from Force-E. These proved much cooler
and we carried on wearing them on our Wetpixel Bahamas liveaboard trip.
