In August, while staying in Weisbaden with my son David, I could not resist a dive with Dennis Unrein of Aquanaut Tauchzentrum in a former quarry near Altendiez.

A recent plankton bloom had reduced the underwater visibility to 3 to 5 metres but it was still a very enjoyable dive with plenty of man-made “sights” for divers to discover including a Great White shark!
